Site Manager

Our client is seeking a Site Manager for refurbishment works at Manchester University. This role involves managing multiple small works packages for refurbishments. The successful candidates will be confident managing live sites, highly organised, and capable of maintaining a professional, client-facing approach throughout the project duration.\n\nRate: £28.00 per hour\n\nContract: Immediate Start until August\n\nStart: ASAP\n\nYou must have small refurbishment experience such as classrooms/bathrooms.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\nOversee internal refurbishment and fit-out projects across Manchester Uni.\n\nCoordinate and manage subcontractors and direct labour.\n\nEnsure full compliance with health & safety and site regulations.\n\nMaintain strong communication with the client and uphold excellent site presentation.\n\nTrack progress and ensure timely delivery of multiple small-scale jobs.\n\nManage all relevant site paperwork, inductions, and reporting.\n\nRequirements:\n\nProven experience delivering internal fit-out and refurb projects, preferably within live environments.\n\nConfident dealing with clients and representing the contractor professionally.\n\nSMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS required.\n\nMust have or be willing to complete the following:\n\nAsbestos Awareness (UKATA)\n\nManual Handling\n\nWorking at Heights\n\n(Links can be provided to complete these if needed.)\n\nFull UK driving licence and own transport essential.\n\nMust be available for long-term work and reliable day-to-day
